Problem

Using the concept of perceived value, design a luxury package for makeup.

Solution

Taking inspiration from Chanel’s product layout and Clinique’s color palette, I created a luxury perfume and skincare brand called Haven. The name “Haven” was chosen for a multitude of reasons - I wanted a name that sounded pleasant, had a good connotation, and looked visually interesting. A haven is a place of safety or refuge, this brand brings a sense of tranquility and safety with its light colors and symbol reminiscent of a fountain and flowers. The “a” and “v” in Haven mirror each other, creating visual symmetry. The thin typefaces, gold embellishments, and embossed images are common features in luxury packaging.
